Main Aspects of Doing Business in Lithuania

During 1 hour session commercial, practical and legal insights were provided for everyone interested in coming to Lithuanian market and starting a business, especially for Polish businesses and entrepreneurs.

The experts in their respective areas shared main commercial, practical and legal aspects of areas like company law, employment, taxation, regulatory and others, in a concise and easy to takeaway manner, but will also share practical tips and newest trends that will be invaluable for any businesses that would like establish itself in Lithuania, answering those lingering questions:

  • how should I structure my business?
  • is it expensive to employ workers?
  • what taxes should I pay?
  • will and when I may be liable as a director of the company if something goes wrong?
  • can I get any concessions from the government?

 The topic was covered by 3 main perspectives:

  • business environment – Tautvydas Tamulevičius [Head of Business, Go Vilnius] opened the session and identify needs, strengths and opportunities of doing business in Lithuania.
  • legal aspects – Pranas Mykolas Mickus [Representative in Poland, PR1MUS Law Firm] followed up with relevant legal tips like company incorporation, employment, related taxation aspects.
  • business development – Dominik Filip Milowski [CEO, Itaka Lietuva, UAB] shared practical application of existing legal instruments while establishing and guiding a branch of a leading Polish travel agency in Lithuania.
